Primary responsibility is assisting the lead pastor in shepherding the congregation of First Baptist Church of Norco. Prticualy leading volunteers in our student and music ministry in conjunction with the pastor in Youth and Music First Baptist Norco is a congregation with an 87-year history in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, whose Mission it is to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples. This is a full-time position that will require the workload of a pastor. Responsibilities will include the following:
Background: In the past two decades First Baptist Norco has employed part-time ministers to fill the roles of Youth Minister, Children’s Minister, and Music Minister, but now as we look toward the future we are seeking to change our outlook on ministry. We are seeking a full-time Associate Pastor who would help give Leadership and oversight to those volunteers who are hands-on in the ministry. We believe this is in keeping with what Paul wrote in Ephesians: “And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness”. - Eph 4:10–13 (CSB)
