Established in 1882, Topisaw Baptist Church (TBC) is a church family who loves the Lord and loves each other. We value biblical preaching, genuine worship, and fulfilling the Great Commission. TBC is nestled the Southeastern corner of rural Lincoln County, Mississippi, an area affectionately known as God’s country.
Our sanctuary, built in 2015, seats 300 people. At our highest in the past 10 years, we averaged 188 in worship attendance and 143 in Sunday School. We averaged 101 in Sunday School during 2023. We have Sunday School classes for all ages and a traditional style worship service each Sunday morning and Sunday night. TBC loves to worship through music. Visitors and church members especially enjoy our church choir, consisting of members from all age groups. Visitors often comment on the number of men in our adult choir.
TBC desires to disciple and grow people in the Lord. Last year, we began Wednesday night meals preceding our prayer meeting for adults and mission classes for our children and youth. Our fellowship hall seats 120 people and steps toward a youth center remain underway with the recent addition of an outdoor basketball court.
We find encouragement in the number of young families in our church and the abundance of children. Our largest age groups include 30- to 45-year-olds and those below 18 years old. Generational families and friendships abound at TBC, and we enjoy fellowshipping with one another. The men of our church work mostly blue-collar occupations in construction and trade, and many members work as school teachers and employees of Enterprise Attendance Center, our community K-12 school.
In 2023, our annual budget was set at $293,423. We gave $73,861 to mission offerings including Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, Cooperative Program, Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village, and other ministries. The people of TBC truly have a heart for giving and a willingness to work together to accomplish the work of the Body of Christ.
TBC is a warm and welcoming church family serious about the Great Commission and reaching the next generations in our community. We value expository preaching and practical community ministries. We are looking forward to what God will do through the leadership of our next pastor.
