First Baptist Church of Bogalusa is looking for a part-time music minister to come lead the music ministry of the church. Currently, First Baptist has a large choir and a gifted pianist The choir is active and very talented, and diverse in age. The position would involve working with the choir each week, assisting in the planning of the weekly worship service, working to coordinate music for special services and events as well as being part of the staff that helps to lead and minister to the overall church body. The church averages around 120. This position would also include the possibility of the use of a 3 bedroom parsonage here in the Bogalusa community. Seminary students, graduates, or bi-vocational ministers looking to grow in other areas of ministry as well will find that the pastor and church will be more than willing to help them gain ministry experience outside of the music ministry as well. The church would also be willing to help current seminary students or those looking to start seminary with school expenses. Bogalusa is a community that is ripe for ministry and we are looking for someone who is excited about growing and serving God and His Kingdom here with us in Bogalusa.
