Full-time or Bivocational Pastor

We are a Southern Louisiana church seeking a God-called, Biblicallly grounded pastor who will faithfully lead our congregation in worship, discipleship, evangelism, pastoral care, and service to our community.  

We are looking for a pastor who loves Jesus, loves people, and desires to serve alongside a church family as we seek to grow spiritually and reach others with the Gospel.  We welcome a pastor who will build relationships with the church and become an active part of the surrounding community.

Qualifications will include:

• Demonstrate a clear and genuine call to pastoral ministry.
• Have a strong personal relation ship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to prayer and the authority of Scripture.
• Agree with and faithfully teach to Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Meet the biblical qualification for pastoral leadership described in 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 5-9.
• Possess strong Biblical knowledge and the ability to communicate Scripture clearly and practically.
• Demonstrate good character integrity, compassion humility, and a servant's heart.
• Have a genuine love for people and a desire to minister to individuals and families of all ages.
• Be able to work effectively with church leadership and volunteers.
• Have a heart for evangelism, discipleship, missions, and community outreach.
• Previous pastoral or ministry experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates whose gifts and calling demonstrate strong potential for pastoral ministry.
• Seminary or Bible college education is preferred but may not be required depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
