Seeking Resumes for Director of Missions/Associational Mission Strategist

The Carey Baptist Association serves a thriving region in Southwest Louisiana, where growth and opportunity abound. Comprising of 67 churches (and continuing to expand) CBA reflects a diversity of congregations, including urban, suburban, small-town, and rural communities. United in mission, these churches partner together to make a lasting Kingdom impact. The search committee is prayerfully seeking the man God has called to lead this association into the future with vision and faithfulness.

A Summary of Preferred Attributes will include:

• Provide visionary leadership to guide the overall ministry of the association.
• Champion and help fulfill the strategic ministry objectives of the association.
• Build strong relationships with all member churches, offering support and encouragement.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to the ministry staffs of member churches.
• Be a compelling and consistent missional voice, encouraging evangelistic outreach.
• Serve as a mission strategist, helping churches engage effectively in their communities.
• Demonstrate wisdom and discernment in guiding churches through matters of health, conflict, and revitalization.
• Lead and support the associational staff, fostering unity and effectiveness.
• Collaborate intentionally with associational teams and administrative leadership.
• Provide leadership in fostering unity among churches and pastors.

Preferred Requirements include:

• A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree and/or doctorate in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience serving in a Southern Baptist church, a State Convention, or association.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Louisiana Baptist State Convention
