(Bi-vocational) Associate Pastor to Youth and Families

First Baptist Dry Prong in Dry Prong, Louisiana is prayerfully searching for an Associate Pastor to Youth and Families. We seek a biblically qualified pastor who can grow with us. We understand the future of FBC heavily relies on Children, Youth, and Families as a whole. Essentially, we are searching for someone to shepherd & grow young families.  

 While this position is Bi-Vocational, we anticipate it could become a full-time position in the future. We welcome all qualified candidates to apply! Currently, this position qualifies for the Caskey Scholarship to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

(Bi-vocational) Associate Pastor to Youth and Families

Job Description/ Duties:

• Serve as Chair of Children, Youth, and Preschool Committees
• Serve as a member of Church Council
• Teach the youth (6^th through 12 grade) on Sunday & Wednesday Nights
• Serve as a Male Chaperone to Camps and Events for Youth and Children
• Oversee the Nursery Schedule
• Oversee, Lead, and Recruit Volunteers for areas involving children & Youth Ministries
• Fill the pulpit in the Pastors Absence, (typically 4 Sundays a year)
• Help in the periodic planning of a couple’s night out for young families
• Assist the Pastor with visitation, (hospital and nursing homes on as needed basis)

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High school Graduate
• Must be a biblically qualified Pastor as laid out in 1^st Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:5-9
• Must Affirm the Baptist Faith & Message
• Must serve at all times of regular scheduled meetings, Sunday Morning/Nights, and Wednesday Nights
• Some Ministerial Experience in either preaching, teaching, or serving

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Pastoral experience
• College graduate, preferable in Bible College, and/or Seminary
• Experienced in teaching youth and/or children
